Penhayes Herd Visit - June 25th at Grampound Village Hall, Nr Truro
We are had an extremely interesting start to the day at the village hall where Tammy and Andrew Perry sell meat at their local market and where many members of the Devon and Cornwall groups of the Dexter society met. We then consumed pasties before commencing afarm walk which Andrew organised to visit their herd of Dexter Cattle. We visited three venues on a lovely sunny day and admired the cattle of the Penhayes Herd.

Soil Sampling
Twelve of us met for this REG funded event and we all concluded analysing our own fields, some even discovering that they could cancel their deliveries of lime. We hope to follow this up with grass sampling to detect any deficiencies in our animals’ diet.
